About the Author

Josef Franz Huber is senior vice president, Mobile Network Business Unit, Siemens AG, Munich, Germany. He received his M.Sc. in electrical engineering at the Technical University of Vienna, Austria. He presently holds the position of the Chairman of the Mobile Industry Group at BITKOM, Germany, and is Vice Chairman of the UMTS Forum. Alexander Joseph Huber is examiner at the European Patent Office, Munich, Germany, in the field of computer systems. He received his M.Sc. in computer science from the Technische Universität München (TUM), and Certificate d'Auditeur in computer science from Ecole Polytechnique, Paris, France.
