Purpose: The purpose of this book is to address current topics in the neurosurgical management of brain tumors. As opposed to a technical manual, this is a reflection of the authors' personal experiences in a fast-evolving field.
Audience: Neurologists and neurosurgeons are the main audience for this book.
Features: The 47 authors contribute 19 chapters. The book moves from physiological monitoring to different kinds of tumors and how to address them individually, either by chemotherapy, surgery, radiation, or both. A strong positive feature of the book is the inclusion of personal practice caveats from leading experts in the field. The direct correlation of excellent pictures with the fluid text allows readers to further enhance their perspectives on brain tumor management.
