Overview

"Tales of the Great Ones," our novel, is full of interesting stories about their lives that teach us the value of bravery, the strength of friendship, and how important it is to value everyone's uniqueness. There was a time when there were beings called Nephilim who lived in a world full of magic and wonder. These "Great Ones" were like you and me, but they had special magical skills.

There is a young Nephilim named Eli who has a clean heart. He finds a little bird named Flap whose wings are crooked. Eli doesn't throw the bird away; instead, he makes friends with it and helps it fly again. Eli and Flap go along sparkling rivers and jump over bumpy hills. They talk to trees that whisper and even the stars that shine down at them at night.

Luna is another Nephilim who can hear what the trees are saying. Eli and Flap learn that all living things have stories to tell, and that listening to them can help us understand the world better.

And who can forget Theo, the soft giant who looks scary but is actually as friendly as a bear cuddle? Theo shows our friends that you can get to know someone beyond how they look on the outside and find a friend inside.

Eli and his friends know that even the quietest word can be heard over the loudest noise if we choose to listen with our hearts. It's like a Festival of Lights in our book, where everyone gets together to share their light and stories. The world seems to be hugging us big and telling us that we shine better when we work together. We are taken to a world in our book where friendship is the most exciting trip and understanding is the most valuable thing we find along the way. Let's turn the pages and find the stories that will make us all great, reader. Fear doesn't have to roar all the time, as the Nephilim show. In the evening, there is sometimes a quiet voice that says, "I'll try again tomorrow."
