Purpose: The purpose originally was to provide students, trainees, and clinicians with a resource to integrate sleep medicine and psychiatry into the routine clinical practice of sleep medicine. This second edition has been revised to further broaden its scope with several new chapters in areas relevant to a wider range of specialties.
Audience: This book is intended primarily for sleep researchers, general and neuropharmacologists, psychiatrists, and physicians who evaluate and treat patients with sleep disorders. It also will be useful for pharmacologists, pharmacists, medical students, and clinicians in various disciplines. It will also serve as a resource for students, trainees, and physicians pursuing consultation liaison psychiatry.
