About the Author

Haojin Wang obtained an M.S. from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and a Ph.D. from Texas A&M University, both in computer science. He is a widely recognized authority on broadband networking with expertise and interests ranging from packet broadband network architectures to wireless communications network management protocols, and software engineering processes. During the course of his career, Dr. Wang has been responsible for large-scale project management, network system architecting and engineering, and system performance modeling and software development, in companies including Santera Systems, Samsung Telecom America, Nortel, and IBM. He is the founder of Winfo Systems, a consulting and training company in broadband and wireless communications.In addition to a number of technical papers, Dr. Wang is the author of the highly regarded Telecommunications Network Management (McGraw-Hill, 1999). He teaches telecommunications courses at a number of universities and companies in the United States.
