About the Author

Linda Wong is Associate Professor in the Department of Public and Social Administration at the City University of Hong Kong. She is co-editor with Stewart MacPherson of Social Change and Social Policy in Contemporary China, and has written on social welfare, social insurance, migration and employment issues in China under reform.
