Purpose: The main purpose is to describe and explore the key Jungian principles in the therapeutic relationship between patient and therapist. Secondly, the book also aims to define Jungian psychotherapy rather than Jungian analysis. Finally, the book explores psychotherapy in a general fashion to reflect on Jungian thought as a respected and therapeutic entity rather than quasi-therapeutic. These worthy objectives are met by this well-versed author.
Audience: The book is intended mainly for beginning and experienced therapists, specifically psychiatrists and psychologists. However, this book has exceptional teaching capabilities for graduate level psychotherapy courses and will prove to be recommended reading for those in analytical training. The author is well-versed in Jungian thought and is a Jungian analyst and clinical psychologist; his credibility is unquestioned.
