About the Author

Xiaosheng Fang obtained his Ph.D. degree from Institute of Solid State Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2006. Then he joined the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science as a postdoctoral fellow (2006–2008) and International Center for Young Scientists (ICYS)-International Center for Materials Nanoarchitectonics (MANA) researcher (2008-2010) within National Institute for Materials Science (NIMS), Tsukuba, Japan. Currently, he is professor in Department of Materials Science, Fudan University, China. He has authored and coauthored 62 refereed journal publications, 11 review papers, an English monograph, and 4 book chapters. His publications have been cited over 1800 times. His current research topic is the controlled fabrication, novel properties, and optoelectronic applications of novel nanostructures, especially with a focus on II-VI inorganic semiconductor nanostructures-based optoelectronic sensors.

Limin Wu obtained his Ph.D. degree from Zhejiang University in China in 1991 and worked as visiting scholar (1994–1998) in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, Pennsylvania State University. Currently, he is professor in Department of Materials Science, Fudan University (China). Wu has published more than 170 papers in English and holds 32 China patents and a US patent. His current research interests involve nanocomposite spheres, hollow spheres, and organic-inorganic hybrid coatings.
