About the Author

Dr Robert A. Norman is the series editor and co-author of the first book in the series, Clinical Cases in Geriatric Dermatology. He helped formulate the dermatology program for the Integrative Medicine fellows at the University of Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine and provided a comprehensive lecture in Integrative Dermatology for the fellowship program. Dr William Eng is a pathologist who specializes in anatomic pathology, clinical pathology, dermatopathology, and dermatopathology and is currently based in Tampa, Florida.

Description: Test your diagnostic acumen of skin infections with the short clinical vignettes in this book. It provides clinical descriptions of skin findings accompanied by brief medical histories. All the cases include histology, but not all have clinical photographs of the skin lesions.
Purpose: The purpose is to provide a quiz format for testing readers' knowledge about skin infections. This is a fun way to learn.
Audience: The audience includes dermatologists, medical students, and general practitioners.
Features: A differential diagnosis is discussed for each case. The characteristic histology is reviewed with color photographs. It would be helpful if there were clinical color photographs with all of the cases as well. A list of acceptable therapeutic options is included at the end of each case. The information is current.
Assessment: This is a painless way to brush up on your diagnostic skills and differential diagnosis. Perhaps it would have been better not to give away the category in which the correct diagnosis resided by the title.
