About the Author

Takayuki Shibamoto is a Professor in the Department of Environmental Toxicology at the University of California, Davis. The author or coauthor of over 220 professional publications and the editor of Lipid Chromatographic Analysis (Marcel Dekker, Inc.), Dr. Shibamoto is a member of the American Chemical Society, the Institute of Food Technologists, and the American Oil Chemists' Society. He received the B.S. degree (1965) in chemistry from Yokohama City University, Japan, and the M.S. (1972) and Ph.D. (1974) degrees in agricultural chemistry from the University of California, Davis.
