This is a book based on fear.
Fear that if I didn't write these words down; they would suffocate me.

About the Author

Mackenzie (Mack) Cavin was born in Rome, Georgia, and raised in the small city of Gaylesville, Alabama. Not having an ideal childhood, Cavin made the decision to start writing poetry as a way to express her emotions; when asked to describe her poems, Cavin describes it as “Therapy”. As a young author who began writing at the age of 17, Cavin’s goal for her audience is to “Find comfort in my work”. Outside of writing poetry, Cavin enjoys activities such as reading, painting, playing with her puppy, Ares, and spending time with those closest to her. Black Eyes & Bloody Knuckles is Mackenzie’s first poetry book.
