Mr Men and Little Miss books are a series created by Roger Hargreaves. The Mr Men series originally started publishing in 1971 and the Little Miss series started 10 years later in 1981. Mr. Tickle was the first character ever created in the series which Hargreaves designed for his son to describe what a tickle looked like. After Roger Hargreaves death, his son Adam Hargreaves took over and wrote and illustrated more books in the series. In 2022, the Mr Men and Little Miss characters became a popular meme on social media amongst teens and adults.
