Louise Rennison (1951 ¿ 2016) was an award-winning English author and comedian best known for the Confessions of Georgia Nicolson book series. The series chronicles the goings-ons of teenage girl Georgia Nicolson and her best friends, the "Ace Gang". The first book in the series, Angus, Thongs, and Full-Frontal Snogging, was adapted into a movie titled Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging in 2008 (with plot elements from the second book, On the Bright Side, I'm Now the Girlfriend of a Sex God. Rennison also wrote a spin-off book series The Misadventures of Tallulah Casey, the main character being Georgia's younger cousin.
