Published in 1955, Night is the first book in a trilogy and is followed by Dawn and Day, which document Wiesel’s life both during and after the Holocaust. Wiesel wrote more than fifty books in all and spent his life crusading against injustice around the globe. An esteemed activist, orator, and teacher, Wiesel won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1986.
