Colson Whitehead is an American, two-time Pulitzer-Prize winning author of several novels, including The Underground Railroad and The Nickel Boys, as well as a collection of essays about New York City. He is also a National Book Award winner. His novel, Harlem Shuffle, is the first book of the Harlem Trilogy. The second installment, Crook Manifesto, was released in 2023. His fiction, criticism, and reviews have appeared in several publications, such as The New York Times, Harper's, and Granta.
