Allison Pataki (b. 1984) is an American author, journalist, and daughter of former New York Governor George Pataki. She published her first book The Traitor’s Wife after being inspired by the Revolutionary War history of her hometown. She has since published two more historical novels The Accidental Empress and Sisi about the Empress Elisabeth of Austria-Hungary, dubbed the Princess Diana of her time. Both have been bestsellers.
