Love creating unique, one of a kind materials for your art work? I do too and have found a wonderful new medium to work with aptly named zap cloth by Australian artist Dale Rollerson. Through experimentation I’ve discovered my own methods for working with this material to create bases for jewelry, purses, pillows, collages, belts and book covers, you name it. Fair warning: once you see the fabulous results this technique becomes addictive!

About the Author

Barbara is the author of Altered Book Collage, Collage Creations, New Ways with Metal Foils, Alternative Jewelry, and Small Looms and Freeform Weaving in addition to her column in Bead Unique and a regular contributor to Somerset Studios and Belle Armoire. She teaches at art, bead, fiber and quilt retreats and at trade shows.
