Overview

"I could not put it down and am looking forward to a second read. It is rare to read a novel that is about what is real and true and urgent about LIFE now, and a good read, and a page turning adventure with great sex! Bojnowski also puts into words, creatively and with an edgy, sometimes despairing humor, the anguish I sometimes feel about how we humans (particularly Americans) are exploiting people to maintain our untenable lifestyle while distorting the earth. Zane's Brain is a wise book, entertaining and thoughtful. I recommend it." -- S. Armstrong, clinical psychologist

"As Bojnowski unravels this tale we realize this is not only a story that is in itself mesmerizing, but as the author notes that his intention is to help the reader understand the conflict between the privileged but at times mindless warriors of the first world and the more significant status of the state of the tragedy of mankind. It is a study of the techno-driven contemporary youth and their need to reconnect with the way of nature." -- 5/5 STARS, by Grady Harp, June 9 2012, (Los Angeles, CA United States) (HALL OF FAME REVIEWER) (VINE VOICE) (TOP 50 REVIEWER)

"This is the first spiritual book I've read that touches on what I believe to be the Truth. It is neither Christian nor Buddhist-based. It is not based in any religious sect you can put your finger on. This deeper look into anger, fear, resentment, lust, love, elation - all shared experiences - will make us question the foundations we have chosen to build our lives upon. Zane's Brain allowed me to open up, to think about things at a deeper level, and to let go of some preconceived notions I was holding on to. I highly recommend this book."

Zane Baran is smiling, but inside he's roiling. He’s secretly dropped out of medical school in San Francisco. When his dying grandfather hands him an unfinished manuscript, Zane is lured to Nepal where he finds hope tangled with a seductress who tests his love, a nemesis who saves his life, and an old man who changes the way he sees everything.

Bojnowski explores the paralysis common among privileged young people in first-world nations. His protagonist knows something is wrong, yet his sense of the larger tragedy of mankind is tangled with abuse and addiction in his own family.

Zane's neurosis captures the angst of the first generation defined by digital technology. This technology is developed by oil-driven corporations the Net Generation paradoxically opposes, yet trusts. This novel integrates concepts culled from our greatest scientists. Bojnowski seeks the attention of multitasking Millennials looking for a smart, quick read. Zane's Brain is contemporary, urgent, and it draws on current events and research to hone its edge.

"There is a concise use of words, yet it is descriptive and vivid. It flows seamlessly and easily when read. The characters are realistic and well developed... This story promises intrigue, suspense, and adventure! I like how this book starts, with the dawning of the day. It makes the reader feel on par with the main character, as if the reader and the main character are on equal footing, starting out together, sharing an experience. This truly draws the reader into the story! ... he luxuriates in descriptive settings, while brilliantly presenting characters through realistic dialogue and actions. We are truly in touch with the characters, and that is how we learn about them. We feel and encounter the settings. The author is allowing the reader to experience, rather than merely read his book. It is wonderful!" -- Amazon Breakout Novel Award Expert Reviewer

"It is a physical journey, but as the title hints, the real transformation is in Zane's mind and the way he perceives things." -- Fritz R. Ward (TOP 500 REVIEWER) (VINE VOICE) 5/5 STARS
