Overview

Jimmy Favreaux has a healthy respect for Zambonis. Not once, but twice, the ice-conditioning machines tried to run Jimmy over. After being blamed for the second mishap and getting run out of town, Jimmy left northern Minnesota's bitter winters behind for good. He moved to Florida and became a private investigator. His business card proclaims he's a finder of people, places, and things.

A decade after moving to Florida, people from his past have landed on his doorstep, looking for his help. Jimmy thought he'd left his past behind him, but like an out-of-control Zamboni, his past has him lined up in its sights. Doug Thompson needs Jimmy's help. Doug's wife, Ruth, disappeared from the Jacksonville airport, and all signs point to Jack Powers as the culprit – the man responsible for getting Jimmy run out of town twelve years earlier.

Every good mystery has a dead body, and we find this one in a hotel. Now it's Jimmy's job to find out if the death was natural, self-inflicted, or assisted, and – if there was help – from whom?

Set on the Florida/Georgia border, Zamboni Is Not Pasta is the first story in the Blue Bridge Mysteries, featuring Jimmy Favreaux, PI: finder of people, places, and things.

About the Author

They say that everyone has a book inside them. Apparently, some of us have extras! After years of writing words for other people - radio, newspaper, ministry – Mike became a full-time editor and ghostwriter in 2021. After eighteen months, he already has over two dozen books to his credit, either written, edited, or ghostwritten. He launched the Blue Bridge Mysteries in late 2022, featuring private investigator Jimmy Favreaux.

When Mike's not writing or editing - which isn't often! – he enjoys long walks on the beach (honestly) with his wife of over forty years, Mary. They have lived in coastal southeast Georgia since 2004 when they escaped from the frozen tundra of northern Minnesota. They have three cats, Carmela, Buddy, and Lucy. Oh, and two grown children, Adam and Becca.
