About the Author

Kelsey Clark is the author and creator of the Animal Tour Guide children’s book series, beginning with Giuseppe Takes Us to Capri. Kelsey published her second book, Zala the Slovenian Dragon, in May, with many other adventures on the way. A native Floridian, Kelsey has always had a love for travel and books and was inspired to write while living in Italy and traveling around the world. The Animal Tour Guide series introduces children to different countries, foods, cultures, and languages, with a cute animal to guide them along the way! We hope you will join Giuseppe the cat, Zala the dragon, and all of the Animal Tour Guides as they share what makes their homes so special and unique!

Valentina Felce is an amazing and talented illustrator who can take any image and make it come to life on the page. She was drawn to this series because of her love of traveling, so she wanted to be a part of making these locations around the world jump off the page for the children. She has multiple children’s books and looks to continue this passion to make children smile through her fantastic images and help to tell the story.

Kelsey and Valentina have been lifelong friends since childhood and have continued all throughout High School, College, and now! Even in middle school they created stories together and Valentina would draw the pictures. They want to continue to work on creating new books to help kids explore other parts of the world with the help of local animals or stories that they hear along the way on their own travel adventures!
