This book also explores the constitutional rights of the accused, and describes the criminal trial, including the role of the prosecutor, criminal defense attorney, judge, jury, the offender and the victim. In addition, the criminal appeal process is also examined. The Appendix provides arrest statistics, sample forms, and other pertinent information and data. The Glossary contains definitions of many of the terms used throughout the book.

She holds a Juris Doctor degree from Pace University School of Law, White Plains, New York. She is a member of the New York and Connecticut bars and is certified to practice before the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court. She has been appointed to the Attorney for Children panel for the Family Court of the State of New York, is a member of the American Bar Association, American Mensa, and a number of other professional organizations and associations.
