About the Author

This is the author's short success story of how he, Rahul K. Maharaj fought to become one of the most inspiring personalities ever. He migrated from Trinidad and Tobago 21 years ago as an immigrant. He started working on the second day at a Children's store in E Flatbush in Brooklyn, then moved to a sneaker store a few days later doing what he needed to do to make a living. Coming to America with basic education and computer skills, Rahul knew he can do way better with the right opportunity at hand. That opportunity came about a year and half later when he landed into a job at a construction company as the manager. He worked his way up, later on moving on as a financial advisor where he helped families to have financial stability. He also worked hard to help others repair their credit. He opened his own daycare to provide a loving, safe and stable environment for parents to leave their "little angels" during their working hours. Having suffered a lot of hardships during his life, Rahul found that through telling his stories he could encourage people to open up about their difficult experiences and give them a voice to share their stories with others. He travels across the country in order to raise awareness about mental health issues and help anyone suffering from any kind of mental illness. Rahul wanted to approach the problems associated with mental health in a unique way so that the path to mental wellness is made easier and approachable for people. This also led to him starting his own YouTube channel called “Your Life Experiences with Rah” three years ago where he talks about everything that he went through and also talks to his followers about various issues as well as teaching them to meditate and deal with different hardships in life. He has been working as a mental health speaker for over 11 years now as well as occupying the position of Chief Executive Officer of Little Angels Daycare LLC since 2014. Rahul became a member of the website called “THE BASH” in 2021 where people book him as a motivational speaker for both in person events and virtual sessions. In addition to his work as a motivational and mental health speaker, Rahul also has valuable experience dealing with credit repair due to his time working as a financial advisor. One of his most meaningful accomplishments is his show on social media "YOUR LIFE EXPERIENCES WITH RAH." This show has been mainly started to help people open up about their mental problems and depression. It is a safe place for people to share their stories so that others can also get to know how to overcome such anomalies. In this way, people can come together to talk and to share, but most importantly to heal. This is just a short story of how he started and where he is now. Was it hard? Yes - at every stage of life.
