About the Author

The late Dr. Douglas Porter began and wrote many of the titles in ChurchGrowth.org’s “God’s Unique Design for Your Gift…” series and contributed much to Church Growth through the years. He was a husband, father, pastor, missionary, speaker, and published author, having ghost-written or co-authored many books with other notable authors. Dr. Porter received his L.Th. degree from Central Baptist Seminary in Toronto, Ontario, and earned his M.A. and D.Min. degrees from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. His home base for life and ministry was Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, though he traveled the world reaching, teaching and discipling people for Christ.
