Corinthia Jordan is a celebrated author, poet, and entrepreneur from Chicago. While studying journalism at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville's College of Arts and Sciences, she began her professional writing career as a reporter for the award-winning, student-ran publication, The Alestle. She began writing poetry in her free time as a means to self-reflect and self-heal. Reluctantly, she submitted her piece, "Mas'r Peace", to the River Bluff Review, an annual literary magazine hosted by her alma mater, which was published in 2017.
Corinthia published her first book titled, Bloom, which is a distinguished collection of poetry and prose inspired by the process of growth in the summer of 2018. Bloom became an Amazon's #1 New Release for African Poetry in the first week of its release. Her work has been acknowledged in major media conglomerates such as Fox News, The Daily Herald, ABC and more. It is Corinthia's mission to serve by using her words to elevate, heal, and inspire. Other titles by Corinthia include, "Major Degree" and her latest release, "This Is What Healing Feels Like".
