About the Author

Scott C.S. Stone was a correspondent for Reuters, Cox News Service and the New York Times. As a Navy Reserve Commander he saw combat in the Korean and Vietnam wars. Stone lived in Hawaii for almost 50 years, traveling extensively in Europe, Asia and Antarctica. His suspense fiction won the coveted Edgar Award, and in 2001 he was named writer-in residence at the University of Hawaii in Hilo. Yesterday in Hawaii reflects his fascination with the history of the islands and their progress into the 21st century.
