Yes, You Can!: Have a Second Life After 60
Land's writing is the story of fourteen years of her life, taking the reader through a time line direct from God. A true story of first the annoyance of seeing her carefully laid-out plan for future years to amazement at how divine wisdom intervened and was perfect as to where the author was to be and when, who she was to meet and why, and how the future would be forever changed even if the yielding of plan A (the author's) to plan B (God's) was done with hesitancy.
A life of overseas adventure takes the reader to Armenia, Georgia, Uzbekistan, Ghana, and China. It is interspersed with bits of history, current events, and future opportunities of humans.
It gives the reader an opportunity to understand why letting God be in control works best for humanity at any age.

About the Author

Loretta was born in 1934 in Logansport, Indiana, but grew up in many cities or states. This gave her the ability to live her later years abroad in unusual and often trying countries.
She was married to Charles Land, who died at age fifty-one, leaving her to raise their eight children—seven sons and one daughter. That number has grown to include fourteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
After her husband’s death, she started studying at Indiana Technical College (Ivy Tech) in Gary, Indiana, earning an associate degree in secretarial science. This was followed by two bachelor degrees from Calumet College in Whiting, Indiana—psychology with an emphasis in thanatology and theology from the time of Christ to 1054. Her master’s degree in organizational development was earned at Loyola University in Chicago.
This education allowed her to start as a receptionist at the Midwest Stock Exchange in Chicago with the culmination of jobs ending as an assistant vice president ten years later at Key Bank in Cleveland, Ohio.
This was followed as a Peace Corps volunteer at age sixty-one, serving twenty-seven months in Armenia. She was assigned to work with the Ministry of Economy, helping it to develop its marketing and investment opportunities as it made its way from the now-defunct USSR’s command economy to a market economy now demanded by its new capitalistic status.
For the next fifteen years, this was followed by volunteer work assignments for the International Executive Service Corps, returning to Armenia as well as living in the Republic of Georgia, Uzbekistan, Ghana, and China.
