Kim Ellis, Goodreads (four stars) - Ever wonder what it might be like to live inside a giant potato? Tevin gives a detailed description of Polly's life inside a giant yam. Only 58 people survived after the Great Unexpected Tragedy on Old Earth. Pretty weird story, but it kept me reading.

Giulietta Spudich, Goodreads (five stars) - I loved this book. I couldn't put it down! It had more twists and turns than tunnels inside a giant yam. Everyone is orange and the walls are edible in this post-apocalyptic world. Or is it post-apocalyptic - there is a question about what really did happen to normal life. Secrecy and mystery are hidden in trap yam-doors throughout the story. I laughed a lot. A good read- if you are prepared for a bizarre orange tongue-in-cheek commentary about how society can go wrong ... in a yam.
