Wups is based on a true story. She is a childhood pet given a new lease on life.

It is a love story between her and her master Jack. She is a faithful, loving and obedient dog as well as a protector of Jack and his animals.

One day Jack calls for Wups but she does not come. For two days he searches but cannot find her. He is devastated. He imagines that something horrible has happened to her. But he does not give up. He searches one more time. This time he hears the sound of puppies. He is so happy when he sees his beloved with six puppies. He is so proud of his Wups. he knows she will be a great mother.

About the Author

She was born and educated on the island of Anguilla in the North-east Caribbean. Here, her first animal story was chosen to be read on the radio for a children's program. At the age of eighteen she migrated to the neighboring island of St. Maarten where she has lived for more than three decades. While attending a Writing course, her teacher asked if she ever thought of writing books. This was never on her mind but years later when she attended a Writers' Critique Group she was again faced with the question. It was then that she began writing true animal stories but just saved them for many years. Wups, her childhood pet, was brought to life last year and finally is about to be published.
