Penelope Reid has the rest of her life planned out. Well, she thinks she does, anyway. She's got a high-powered career as the youngest partner in an all-female law firm and a rather attractive boyfriend––with a sexy British accent––that matches it perfectly. The fact that she doesn't like him all that much, can't flaunt her tattoos because he thinks they're tawdry, or ride her motorcycle, like, ever is beside the point.
She always knew there was a price to pay for that level of success.
But a mix-up at her favorite mechanic causes her to cross paths with infamous badboy Layton Dunlap, the drummer in her favorite band. And while she never considered herself a groupie, she's a bit starstruck all the same.
As they begin to spend more time together, even just as friends, Penelope's solid vision of her future starts to look a little shaky.
