Overview

Dan was a mid-life loser on the brink of an emotional meltdown. Years of alcohol and drug abuse had destroyed his life and kept him at the bottom of the food chain, living alone in the middle of nowhere. Then, one day while suffering from withdrawal, Dan notices a strange orange fog has descended from the sky; the product of a passing comet he was unaware of.

People begin going crazy, attacking each other on the street or locking themselves in their homes. Soon, the chaos really begins. Humans and animals begin to mutate, taking on almost alien-like attributes that make them formidable enemies. Now Dan must gather a group of other social outcasts in order to survive, gradually making new friends along the way, and enemies as well. Their efforts don't go unnoticed, however, as their activities attract the attention of not only a paramilitary force, but a preapocalyptic killer that has become something more than human.

About the Author

Edward Crae lives in the beautiful, forested hills of Brown County, Indiana. He is an electrician by trade, but dabbles in just about all artforms imaginable. He draws, paints, writes and records music, does digital art, writes idiotic and sometimes disturbing poetry, and even forges the occasional blade. He lives with his wife, Lisa, a dog named Rupert, and three cats.

Wormwood Dawn is his first series, but he has plans for many standalone books and other series in the future. His latest, Ancestor, is available at Barnes and Noble in paperback and hardcover, and on Amazon in paperback and Kindle formats.
