About the Author

Vicki DeArmon has produced the World’s Ugliest Dog Contest for the Sonoma-Marin Fair in Petaluma for the last seven years. In that time, she has brought the contest to the attention of international media, including People Magazine, The Today Show, Geraldo, Jay Leno (for guest appearances by dogs), Yahoo and Incredible Photos (who have done photo montages pre and post contest), documentary and television film crews, and more.

She has extensive media experience, both as the one doing the pitching and the one being quoted. A google search of her name brings up 30 plus pages of World’s Ugliest Dog ® references.

She has made her life in books, first as a book publisher (Foghorn Press) and currently working as a marketing director for Copperfield’s Books, a small chain with six stores in Northern California.

As the Marketing Director for both Copperfield’s Books and the Sonoma-Marin Fair, she is responsible for marketing campaigns, media relations, events, sponsorship, collateral, advertising, and social media and website content management and development.
