Worlds Move, Time Calls
The world of Kahil al-Jihiri, a three-year-old Libyan boy, changes forever following Muammar Gadhafi’s 1969 coup d’ état. When his parents vanish, he is sent to America to live with family friends, Robert and Sandy Marshall, who raise the young Muslim as Allen Marshall. Years pass, and Allen’s world is again turned upside down when the Libyan Islamic Fighting Group, in need of money to fund their terrorist activities, track him down and threaten him and his American sister.

In the space of a week, Allen must discover the whereabouts of mysterious missing Libyan funds, locate his kidnapped sister, and stop a terrorist attack on the President three thousand miles away. A long-held secret involving Allen and his “sister” intensifies the climax.

About the Author

Judy retired from Newport Beach Public Library in Southern California fully expecting to spend her time traveling, revisiting New England roots, volunteering as a Naturalist at the Upper Newport Bay Nature Reserve and catching up on all the books she never had time to read while a librarian. Finishing the novel she started years ago was not high on her priority list until she returned from her second cultural exchange volunteering at an orphanage in Rabat Morocco. Working with the children, meet-ing so many amazing Muslims, and experiencing the food, culture and religion of Morocco, reminded her of a long-held interest in North Africa, and she rededicated her efforts to finish “Worlds Move, Time Calls”.
She lives in Southern California, close to her granddaughter, Cathy, and married children, Jennifer and Steven, and their spouses, Scott and Leya, all of whom are on 24-hour alert in case the computer fails.
