Michael Ray Garvin, a former two-sport professional athlete, is an author of five books. He is an International Sports Sciences Association Certified Sports Nutritionist and I.S.S.A Certified Trainer. His books inspire athletes to read and reach new levels in their training. Michael Ray focuses on educating athletes on how to better themselves in every area and becoming a universal athlete. Universal athletes are athletes who have the knowledge to create their own training and nutrition programs. These athletes are not one dimensional. They have the knowledge to excel in multiple sports. Universal Athlete programs help train the mind, body, and spirit.

Michael Ray has been studying since he was 14 years old and had a master certified trainer (Kevin Ensenat) train him since his freshman year in high school. Michael Ray recorded the fastest time of the 2009 NFL draft running a time of 4.24 in the 40yd dash. He jumped a 10’8 Broad Jump and a vertical jump of 40 inches. His best 5-10-5 or short shuttle time is 4.06. His best L drill time is 6.98. Michael Ray benched pressed 225 pounds for 18 reps on his pro day at Florida State University. Michael Ray weighed 174 pounds during his pro day. Later in his career he reached a personal best of 405 pound bench press max at 180 pounds. His deadlift max is 550 pounds. His personal best in 100 Meters is 10.10. He ran a top 10 time in the world of 6.59 in the 60 Meters. His personal best in 200 & 400 Meters is 20.58 and 46.61. Michael Ray has a great combination of elite athleticism plus training and nutrition certification (I.S.S.A) knowledge.
