About the Author

Matt McKenzie was a founding member of The McKenzies, appearing in all but one of the group's concerts. He later played bass guitar with other touring musical groups, as well as with the orchestra in his home church in North Carolina. Matt has always been a student of history, and this book is an attempt to share with his children, extended family members, and friends an important part of his personal history.
