Are Mormons Christians? When some outsiders insist that Mormons are not Christians, it is deeply offensive to Latter-day Saints. Yet when Latter-day Saints insist that they are Christians, some of those same outsiders resent it bitterly. Why? We believe that theological and doctrinal differences between religious denominations have nothing to do with whether or not a person is a Christian. In our writings, we explain what it means to be a real Christian to real Mormons. We describe our faith, our promises, our practices, and our theology in words of plainness. We happily acknowledge the light and goodness of all groups of people who search for truth, meaning, and lasting happiness.
