About the Author

While Katherine Black is the author of this book and other upcoming books, the credit should go to the concept holder: Finn W. Contini. While at a friend’s Christmas party in 1996, he remarked to two women how he had recently read John Gray’s Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus. One of the women pulled him aside and commented that he should write a book like John Gray’s book, have it become a bestseller, and then quit his job and retire. Without any hesitation, he quipped that the book should be a parody and titled “Men are really from Uranus.”

His friend liked the idea, but she could not write parody, so she urged Mr. Contini, a gifted humorist and comedian, to write the book himself, from the perspective of a woman. Unfortunately, he was unable to accomplish that task, so he enlisted the help of his friend Katherine Black, and together they wrote and published Women May Be from Venus, But Men are Really from Uranus under Katherine Black's name, with Mr. Contini holding the copyright.

The problem for unknown humorists attempting to write books is no matter how fresh and original the content, traditional publishers will not publish and agents will not represent unknown authors due to the high cost of hardcover and paperback books. Fortunately, eBooks have changed the publishing landscape and now Ms. Black's and Mr. Contini's style of humor can find an appropriate audience at a fraction of the cost of paperback books, though this book will be released in paperback again due to demand for the award-winning illustrations that accompanied the original book.

Mr. Contini’s website that showcases his other books, writing talent and remarkable true story is Ms. Black's website is religious in nature and she has chosen not to publicize it at this time.
