Within His Reach: The Promised Salvation of Wayward Posterity Through the New & Everlasting Covenant of Marriage
Watching others' poor choices can be painful. Seeing them reject the truth and promises made in covenant can be even more painful. Indeed there is not much that is more frightening, discouraging and more difficult than the pain of watching a dear loved one stray. Yet there is hope in the gospel of Jesus Christ. Prophets have made comforting statements promising that faithful parent will have their children here or in the next life by means of keeping their own covenants. What many consider the most important of such statements was made in 1929 General Conference by Elder Orson F. Whitney. He said:

"The Prophet Joseph Smith declared—and he never taught more comforting doctrine—that the eternal sealings of faithful parents and the divine promises made to them for valiant service in the Cause of Truth, would save not only themselves but likewise their posterity. Though some of the sheep may wander, the eye of the Shepherd is upon them, and sooner or later they will feel the tentacles of Divine Providence reaching out after them and drawing them back to the fold. Either in this life or the life to come, they will return..."

What did he mean by that? How does it work? How is it possible that my loved one can be brought home through my choices? This hope-filled book offers answers in what may be less-understood but very important doctrine. Filled with authoritative statements and keen insights, this easy to read book will answer questions, give meaning to worship, and offer access to healing at the Hand of the Master. Indeed, you will be able to say when finished, "I understand what Elder Whitney was saying and I know how God, in His infinite power, will bring them home."
