About the Author

William Martin is an attorney retired from the general practice of law in Jackson, Ohio. In 1989 and 1990 he undertook a series of oral history interviews from World War II veterans in the same town. He was surprised by the variety of military experiences which these gentlemen went through. From Pearl Harbor to the skies over Germany, in the Army, the Army Air Force, the Navy, and the Marines. Mr. Martin has finally decided to self-publish these oral histories.
