About the Author

Robert Brookover retired in 2005 to pursue his love of writing. Married to Marion Brown Brookover, they have three children, Bob, Jamie and Corey and five grandchildren, Lauren, Emma, Patrick, Abbey, and Finn. He is a graduate of Randolph-Macon College and Boston University.
During twenty-seven years in which he served in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia and Manassas, Viringina he studied letters, journals, and familey lore offered to him by descendents of those who lived and fought the war. He wove that material into this work of historical fiction.

I really enjoyed the book, it was well written and kept you "saying to yourself", I have to get out of this chair and get to work, BUT, I will just read one more chapter before I put the book down!!!! We will keep watch for "The Honor of War" to be published.

Mr. Brookover, Just finished Wish is My Master and enjoyed it very much. It gave a personal experience of life before the war. As a Civil War hobbyist (23rd Sc re-enactor) I thought the book portrayed life in a realistic manner. Where can I purchase the rest of the series? You left me hanging with the last page and I need to find out what happened. Thanks for a good read and I am looking forward to the rest.
