About the Author

Two very different paths led two very different people to the same place: the land of opportunity (Los Angeles). Although they did it different (one dropping out of college and working an unfulfilled job, the other graduating and working in an unfulfilled career) their journeys led them through similar situations, obstacles and victories. Their life experiences and truths fuel the content of their storytelling. College brought them together and pursuing their passions in life keep them together. Bosco, the passion driven prose and Kay Oh, the purpose driven poet make up the drama-comedy that is Griot (gree-o).

You know those kids that can’t sit still? The ones that make noise when they shouldn’t? The ones who sit around asking a million questions sponging up “grown folks business” until they are sent off to bed? Kay Oh (K.O) is still that kid.

She’s a little bit country, a little bit pop and soul, and a lot of 24K magic!K. O. is a musician producer/composer, and poet. She knows the power art has; She’s witnessed it in her own life and has been apart of sharing, expressing and cultivating it in the lives of others. From early days in church to rockin’ stages in many places;simply put, art has helped her transcend boundaries and limits, and in turn be an advocate and ambassador for that same liberty in others.

He loves words. He loves to read them, to write them, he loves how they have the ability to transport him to a far away world with endless possibilities or allow him to travel through time where the majesty of Kings and Queens reigned supreme. More than that though, words allow him voice. Through them, is how he expresses himself. They calm and excite him, assuage his pains and amplify his love. For him words are life.

An introverted extrovert, Bosco is a Kansas kid (WYANDOTTE!), who adores his family, loves BBQ (KC has the best), binges religiously on anime, and was raised by a village that doesn’t believe in the “give up,” nor the “give in”, you push through.
