About the Author

Cheri L. Hallwood is the award-winning author/publisher of Winter’s First Snowflake, The Curious Polka-Dot Present, One Wish for Winifred Witch, and Frogwilla, A Treefrog’s Story. She is a four-time recipient of the prestigious Mom’s Choice Award and the Dove Foundation Family Seal. But first and foremost, she will tell you she is the proud mother of three talented daughters and six amazing grandchildren – all girls.

When not writing or spending time with her family, Cheri enjoys sharing her passion for writing by speaking with pre-school and school age children, teachers, and community organizations throughout the Midwest.

Cheri is a member of the Independent Book Publishers Association, the Society of Children’s Book Writers & Illustrators, and the National Philanthropic Organization, Psi Iota Xi. She lives in Niles, Michigan with her husband, Harry.

Patricia M. Rose is a lifelong artist and lover of fine art. Throughout her art career, Patricia’s primary focus has been creating portraits in pastels and watercolors. Now, Patricia introduces her talents to the world of illustration.

As an active member in the local art scene, Patricia has held office in the Niles Art Association and the Northern Indiana Pastel Society. Her work has been exhibited in the Midwest Museum of Art in Indiana, the Kalamazoo Art Institute and Southwestern Michigan College in Michigan.

Patricia maintains a studio in her home in Niles, Michigan, which she shares with her husband, Kenney, and their three cats. They are the proud parents of two sons and two beautiful grandchildren.
