About the Author

Alistair Smith is a leading trainer in modern learning methods and his techniques are used with startling success by thousands of teachers and parents in the UK and abroad. He is the chairperson of Alite; a company he founded to work in the field of motivation, learning and training. Alistair has written award-winning books, featured on radio and television programmes, and spoken at conferences internationally.

Sir John Jones was Headteacher of 3 schools over a period of 17 years and was a government adviser on a range of national initiatives. He is an Associate Director of ALITE Ltd, a board member of the Leading Aspect Award and sits on the Advisory Panel for the Curriculum Foundation. He is a renowned national and international speaker. He teaches part-time at Liverpool and Manchester Universities on Leadership and the Management of Change. John received a Knighthood in the New Year's Honours List 2003 for services to education.

Joanna Reid is a secondary school teacher, private tutor and educational copywriter. She is also a governor at her children's school. She believes that all children deserve an education that inspires them to achieve their very best and that they, and their teachers, should thoroughly enjoy the process of learning.
