Overview

About the Author

J P Coman is the penname of the writing team of John and Phyllis Comeaux. John has been writing poems since age 6 and has written comic strips, stories, puppet theater, plays, screenplays, and now his second book. He is married to Phyllis, the co-author of the story, and together they have three children and six grandchildren. Among John's many interests are music, videography, theater, philately, science fiction, and enjoying audiobooks. John is past president of the West Texas Writers, and president of the Writers' Guild of Acadiana. Phyllis enjoys spiritual reading and writing, cooking, arts and crafts such as sewing and painting, and fishing. Both enjoy playing with the grandchildren.

Maïlys Pitcher has always been passionate about drawing and story-telling. She grew up in a bilingual family of artists, surrounded by illustrated books, paintings and French comic books, and soon knew she wanted to make art her career. In high school, she won a national drawing contest and illustrated her first children book. She is a Visual Development artist currently working as a Designer at Bardel Entertainment in Vancouver, Canada. Her previous main work experience was at Milford Animation in Stockholm, Sweden, where she was involved in all aspects of preproduction. She studied for 3 years at Mopa, CG Animation School in France, finishing the first cycle. She illustrations for children's books in her free time.In her art, she wants to tell a story and engender emotions to the viewer. Lighting and colours are her favorite part of research, and she is fascinated by how they can affect and give a mood to a piece. In her spare time, she mainly enjoys walks, playing guitar, cycle rides, sketching with friends, baking, and cooking while video chatting with her family.
