Kern Endol is a man whose dark past always catches up with him. After the death of his wife, Kern realizes that he has no family that he knows of, save one son mysteriously having vanished, and very little to keep him going. But his future is about to drastically change, and things once set in stone will then be in question, and his entire life will be judged by his very actions that dictate the lives of many. Hayle Barvwell is a child, a child that knows nothing of good fatherhood, only the brutality of life at it’s core.
