Overview

Willing To Engage - Silent No More - is designed to reinforce the fact that we each have value and self-worth, but also that unless we become willing to engage in the battle being fought for our nation today, that we will lose our freedom and liberties - and our value and self-worth in the process. Beginning as a prequel to A Diamond on The Wall, Memoir of the Youngest Green Beret in Vietnam (1967-1968), Willing to Engage transitions three times: from childhood experiences, through a tumultuous high school period, and finally, as a literal "Call-to-Arms" to the silent majority of people throughout the world. Birthed within this book is The 7th Column Movement, a political action and volunteer involvement website, through which Dr. Vosen hopes to motivate all moral and right thinking persons to action. Willing to Engage exposes many political manipulations taking place today, which are all intent on destroying the Democratic Republic of the United States of America, and sounds an alarm that the elections of 2012 may very well be the last election the nation may ever know!

About the Author

Born, Lawrence Thomas Vosen, on December 30, 1948, in Cleveland, Ohio, Larry Vosen was raised in a Catholic family, and educated for eight years in an academically based private elementary school. Following a tumultuous three-year high-school experience, Larry earned his GED Equivalency Diploma (at age 16), and entered the U.S. Army in March, 1966 (at age 17). Following Basic and Advanced Training, and a brief stint in Germany, Larry was sent to Vietnam, where he served with the 5th Special Forces Group for 17 months. Highly decorated, Larry was honorably discharged from the Army in November, 1968.
Upon returning from Vietnam, Larry Vosen immediately enrolled in a Community College, pursuing the completion of his education. Married in 1970, Larry and Charlene Vosen have one daughter and one granddaughter. Throughout his career as a Sales and Operations Executive, Larry continued laboring in his quest to learn, and ultimately received a PhD in Theology in 1998.
In 1988, Larryv initiated an online ministry, known as The Letters of Faith, and for the past 24 years has communicated with thousands of visitors through his lettersoffaith.com website. In early 2002, as Dr. Vosen was researching Scripture, in order to respond to questions regarding the Trinity (of ElohimGod), Larry was inspired to learn the full Exalted Name of God. That inspiration sent Dr. Vosen on a ten year quest for knowledge and understanding, and culminated in the 2010 publishing of an entirely new translation of Scripture. The Exalted Name Bible (ENB), can be viewed free at exaltednamebible.com, and is currently available in e-Book format at Kindle and Nook.
Dr. Vosen was forced to retire in 2010 (due to complications from exposure to Agent Orange in Vietnam), and has since published three new books. Published in 2011, A Diamond on The Wall is a memoir of his 17 month tour of duty in Vietnam - as the youngest Green Beret in Southeast Asia (1967-1968). Published in 2012, are, Willing To Engage, a prequel to "A Diamond", which transitions into a literal Call-to-Arms to the silent majority of citizens in defense of the United States of America and the Constitution; and Larrys third book, Scarlet Lace Poems Spiritual Musings, a collection of 21 spiritually based poems, which show a very soft side to this one-time Green Beret.
