Overview

Will is an eight year old boy who lives with his mum, dad and his dog, Clive. Will and his best friend Charlie decide to go for a picnic in the woods. They wander down to a river and discover a wooden boat that was tied up under a bridge. The boys decide to take the boat out on the river but things soon take a turn for the worse when they realise that neither of them know how to row and that the current is very strong. Paul Cook (author of the 'Pete the Bee' stories) decided to write some stories for his eight year old son Matthew to read during the COVID-19 lock down as part of his home schooling activities. Matthew enjoyed reading the stories (or at least he said that he did) and so Paul decided to share them with the world. The stories are free to download, read and share with friends, Suitable for children aged 8-11 years old.
