About the Author

Phyllis Kerr, a native Texan, was born in San Antonio and moved with her family to Houston when she was one year old. Phyllis’ mother loved to read historical romance novels especially in her favorite Regency genre. As soon as she could read, Phyllis fell in love with romance novels, too. Over the years, she has watched so many wonderful writers develop the genre into one of the most popular today. Phyllis wrote her novel as an homage and thank you to those past, present and future writers who carry on the tradition of Romance.
Phyllis grew up in Houston, attended Bellaire High School and made her home in the Clear Lake City area. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in literature from The University of Houston—Clear Lake while helping her husband build a business and raising two sons. She has worked in the family business, taught English and English as a second language and now enjoys writing, spending time with her husband, sons, three grandchildren and loving cat, ChaCho.
