About the Author
Lori Fatel ZooTell When she was a young girl, she told her mom that she wanted to grow up to have a home filled with animals. Lori’s life long friend, Robin, died from cancer. In her grief, Lori decided to fill the emptiness in her heart with something she has loved her whole life and bought an annual pass to The Detroit Zoo. For an entire year, she spent one day a week from May to October visiting the animals. Lori now goes to the zoo every chance she has, and she even made zoo-visiting part of her vacations when possible. Lori has visited the following zoos: The GarLyn Zoolife Park in the Eastern Upper Peninsula Michigan, The Honolulu Zoo in Hawaii, The San Diego Zoo in California, The Nashville Zoo in Tennessee and Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Lori lives and works in West Bloomfield, Michigan, with her husband Alan and her pets: Phoebe a Bernese mountain dog/Border Collie, Toyo a kitty of Siamese/ Himalayan mix.The youngest is Sweetie is a Collie/Manchester Terrier. All her pets have come from Animal Rescue Centers.
