Overview

In this adventure of the Whiz Kidz, Musa and the rest of the gang seek to help out Nikki, Musa’s classmate, who is terrified of dancing at the upcoming school party. The Whiz Kidz, always ready and willing to help a friend in need, use their unique talents to come up with solutions to Nikki’s dilemma. In the end though, Nikki discovers that the best solution to any problem is always inside you.

About the Author

The Whiz Kidz is the brainchild of Peter Card, a 15 year teacher in Covington, Georgia. Peter has taught students at all age ranges from Pre-Kindergarten through college freshmen. Peter has spent the majority of his teaching career in the elementary grade levels. It was this experience that led to the creation of the Whiz Kidz. These inspiring, humorous, and teacher- friendly stories are meant to help children see that school and learning is more about finding their strengths and talents than defining themselves by high stakes testing scores. Mr. Card shared this idea with some of his fellow fifth grade teachers at Oak Hill Elementary, (Andrea Dowdy, Bettina Martin, and Nicole Benton) and together they began the series known today as the Whiz Kidz. The problems in the book mirror some of the real life situations the teachers faced in their own childhood and/ or adulthood. Peter is originally from Monticello, Georgia, and the youngest of five children. Andrea is from Monroe, Georgia and has a twin sister and two older siblings. Bettina is originally from Madison, Georgia and currently resides in Covington, Georgia. Nicole is originally from Cumming, Georgia and is the third of three daughters.
