About the Author

Laurie Murphy is a Registered Nurse. For the past 26 years she worked as a counselor, assisting her clients to face their challenges, seek resolution, and embrace change. She and Jill Slane co-authored Satori, Keeping a Peaceful Heart in Chaotic Times, Satori House Publishing, 2010.

She has also co-authored with Dr. Nadir Baksh, In the Best Interest of the Child, A Manual for Divorcing Parents, Hohm Press, 2006. You Don't Know Anything, a Manual for Parenting Your Teenager, Hohm Press 2007, and 8 Strategies for Successful Step-Parenting, Hohm Press, 2009.

Cellophane Memories, her first book, Sparrow Heart Publishing, 1995, is currently out of print. It is expected to be available an an e-book in late 2012.
